1hr30m from Dublin, a similar distance from Dublin airport and Rosslare ferry port. 1hr30mins from Dun Laoghaire on the N11. It is well located to explore the towns and countryside of nearby counties Wexford and Carlow. Directions from N11 to Rathnew Village: Turn right at small roundabout to Glenealy and Rathdrum. Bypass Rathdrum to Ballinaclash and Aughrim. Cross the bridge in Aughrim and turn right for Tinahely and Carnew. Turn right at Togher cross roads to Tinahely. Turn left at TOP garage signposted Shillelagh 11km and Tomnafinnoge woods. Enter Coolattin street and pass Coolattin Golf Club entrance on right. Continue towards Shileaghlagh for 1km.
You will see a wide white picket fence entrance on your right (wooded) and opposite you will see granite pillars with black iron gates. You will recognise Coolattin Lodge as a large granite house with a distinctive round window in the pediment. A high round chimney will be visible behind the courtyard buildings.
