
The beautiful Coolattin golf course set in the rolling mature, landscaped parkland, formerly the gardens and park of Coolattin House, is an excellent facility right beside Coolattin Lodge. Golfers can walk to the clubhouse along the driveway directly opposite the front gate.

There is a great choice of other courses locally - Coolattin (3minutes walk), Wooden Bridge (35minutes drive), Mount Wolseley (20 minutes drive), Mount Julliet (50 minutes drive), Brook Lodge (25 minutes drive), Rathsallagh (45 minutes drive), Druid's Glen (50 minutes) Powerscourt (1hr15m drive), Charlesland (1hr drive), Greystones (1hr drive).

Guests can leave Coolattin Lodge on foot to walk the local hills and woodlands, having a wide range of choice from gentle woodland walks by the river Derry in the famous Coolattin oak woods, suitable for small children and little ones in buggies, to the more challenging hill and forestry walks including the famous Wicklow Way which follows a North-South direction over 132km of the lovely Wicklow Mountains. This elevated track passes just a short way from Coolattin Lodge and short routes may be selected for the day or just a few hours.

A number of local riding stables (5 minutes, 15 minutes and 25 minutes away respectively) provide for all levels of rider and a variety of terrain covering thousands of acres of rolling countryside to trek over.

Wicklow and Wexford are renowned for scenic landscape enhanced by many lakes, rivers and long sandy beaches. All levels of fishing can be availed of within easy reach of Coolattin - 20 minutes drive to a choice of fresh water for serious angling to facilities for all the family, also for disabled anglers and 30 to 40 minutes to beaches and sea harbours.

There are miles of quiet country roads and tracks for both road and off road cycling including great mountain bike routes in the local mountains and woodland. The owners at Coolattin are keen cyclists and would be happy to suggest the best routes.

The lovely sandy beaches of the East Coast are about 40 minutes away. Pool facilities are available at many local hotels and leisure centres within 20 to 35 minutes from here.
